Claudia Chan Tak

Dancer

Claudia Chan Tak is a multidisciplinary artist based in Montreal. She graduated with distinction from Concordia University in Intermedia/CyberArts, Department of Studio Arts in 2009. Three years later, she received the William Douglas Excellence Scholarship for her bachelor's degree in contemporary dance at the University of Quebec in Montreal.

In 2017, she completed a thesis-creation that questions the links between documentary film, cultural identity and contemporary dance. The same year, she won the prestigious Mécènes Invested for the Arts prize to highlight the quality and innovation of her artistic approach.

Her choreographic projects have taken her to the stages of Tangente, OFFTA, SAS Festival, Phénomena, Short&Sweet, La Petite Scène, Edgy Women, Art Matters, Toxique Trottoir, not forgetting the Festival À Corps in France and the Théâtre de Liège in Belgium.

A performer for several contemporary dance companies, she also stands out on the theatrical stages, in numerous music videos and in photography as a model, collaborating with Damian Siqueiros, Eric Paré and Nans Bortuzzo, among others.

Claudia embodies the role of Empathy in our project Terrarium.
